A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)in Lagos, Babajide Sanwoolu has visited the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye.
The governorship aspirant visited the revered pastor at the Redemption Camp at the early hours of Wednesday, September 19.
Sanwo-olu who came in company of his aides and security personnel was spotted with Pastor Adeboye’s Minstrel atKunle Ajayi.
According to a reliable source, Sanwo-olu has come to meet Daddy G.O has he is fondly called concerning the forthcoming election.
It was also gathered that he has come to the Redemption Camp to hear what the man of God has to say on his dream to become the next governor of Lagos state.
It would be recalled that several politicians becomes regular visitors on the Redemption Camp whenever election is close by. Among those Who has visited pastor Adeboye includes the ex- president Good luck Jonathan, Olusegun Obasanjo, Yemi Osibajo, Olusegun Mimiko , Akinwunmi Ambode among others.
Few weeks ago, Sanwo-olu picked a nomination form to contest for the Lagos state governorship seat against the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode who is also a member of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God.
He has also declared that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, whom many referred to as the A PC God father in the south-west can not ask him to step down for Ambode because he is in the race to give Lagosians proper representation and improve on the things on ground.
Sanwo-Olu is the current chairman of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation (LSDPC). His foray into politics began in 2003 under Tinubu’s watch when he was appointed the Special Adviser on Corporate Matters to then Deputy Governor, Femi Pedro. He moved up the ladder after a year when he assumed the same position, this time, as an aide to Tinubu.
