Ex-convict Arrested Over Alleged Murder Of NANS Member

The Lagos State Police said it has arrested a son of a popular traditional ruler in the state over alleged murder of one Comrade Oshin Aderigbigbe, the Public Relations Officer, Joint Campus Committee (JCC), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS),
The suspect Bashiru Ahmed a.k.a Kawu ‘m’ 21, was said to have been arrested on April 26 , at about 11:30 after the deceased, Aderibigbe, reported a case against him at the Okokomaiko Police Station.
The Police further said the deceased whom blood was gushing out of his body had stated that he was attacked by three young men who dispossessed him of his handset, laptop and stabbed him with a knife.
According to the operatives “He was later rushed to the hospital but eventually died. The leader of the hoodlums that attacked him, Bashiru Ahmed a.k.a Kawu , a son of a popular traditional ruler in Okoko was thereafter arrested.
“Kawu is a notorious criminal who has been charged to Court on several occasions by the Police for sundry offenses. He returned from prison six months ago and has been on the Police watchlist.”
The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu mni has however ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti for discreet investigation. While detectives have also spread their tentacles on the trace of the remaining two suspects on the run.
 In related development, the command also arrested one Sunday Isiah ‘M’ 42, of No. 20 Olufeso Street Dopemu for allegedly killing a 37 years of victim, Bukola Oluwaseun  by stabbing him with broken bottle on his neck.
Isiah committed the act when he was engaged in a fight with the deceased at a drinking joint along Ogunbambi Street in Agege.
The Police said, a distress call was received by the Dopemu Police Station on  APril 27 at about 2.45pm by some persons in Ogunbambi area of Agege and a team of Policemen was drafted to the scene to restore order.
“The victim however died on the way to hospital and his corpse was deposited at the Mortuary for post mortem examination. 
The suspect is arrested by the Police. Investigation is ongoing and he will be charged to Court at its completion.
