Ex- President, Obasanjo Visits Graveside Of 73 Persons Killed By Herdsmen In Benue

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has insisted that Nigeria need to get it right for it move forward.
Obasanjo declared this at the graveside of the 73 persons that were massacred by Fulani herdsmen on 1st January, 2018, described the killings as “senseless”.
While he advised Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom not to give up on the Anti-Open grazing law, the former President told Ortom to continue to work with people that had the state and the nation’s interest at heart.
Obasanjo who stopped over in Makurdi briefly on Saturday after the meeting of the Zero Hunger Forum that was held in Maiduguri also laid a wreath at the tomb of the victims of the massacre.
He said any responsive government needed to get to the root of the killings and put a permanent stop to it.
