Gov. Amosun Inflates 2019 Budget By 17%, Tags It Enduring Legacy

The Ogun State Governor,  Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State as you read this, is presently presenting the last appropriation bill of his administration to the Ogun State House of Assembly.

In what Amosun tagged budget of enduring legacy, he said a total of 402, 633, 000, 000 is proposed for the 2019 appropriation which represents 17% increase compared to 2018 budget.

While giving the breakdown of the appropriation, Amosun said capital expenditure is proposed to gulp 254.055 billion billion while the recurrent expenditure is proposed to gulp 148.576 billion.

On the funding, Amosun said the IGR is expected to rake in 161.2 billion with allocation from the federation account expected to be 42 billion with capital receipt and other receipts put at 101 billion and 80 billion respectively.

Governor Amosun who took time to run through the achievements of his administration in the last seven years said education would, again, be given priority with 22% of the total budget.
