A train heading Kadua-Abuja was on Thursday, attacked by Bandits in a village near Katari in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It’s was gathered that the train, which left the Rigasa Train Station, in the morning was attacked at Katari, a few kilometres to Abuja at 10am.
It was gathered that the windows of Coach SP12 attached to the train were shattered by bullets from the bandits’ shooting.
Sources said the Coach SP 12 attached to the train from Kaduna was shattered by gunshots.
There was panic everywhere, as passengers could not believe that a train could be attacked.
Though no life was lost, but it was a frightening situation.
“We thought the train would be safer with the situation on the roads, but with what we witnessed today , I am really short of words”, says one of the Sources .
“Our security operatives need to sit up, to safeguard the lives of the citizenry.
However , the police are yet to make any statement concerning the issue but when contacted.
