POLICE ARREST HEALTH WORKER FOR ASSAULTING MAID OVER BREAD

The  Ogun State Police Command has arrested a health worker,Yewande Gbadebo for allegedly inflicting serious injury on her 17 year old housemaid, Janet.
The maid was said to have incurred the wrath of her boss for eating a piece of bread in the house without her approval.
The arrest of Yewande who works at Community Health Centre, Erunbe in Abeokuta South Local Government area of the state, was facilitated by the Committee for Defence on Human Rights (CDHR),Ogun State Chapter.
Chairman of CDHR, Olayinka Folarin said the 32 -year old mother of two who confessed to the crime at the Anti- Human Trafficking unit of the Police Command.
The Benue State born victim was said to have been with her boss for the past three years in Imala area in Abeokuta North local government.
Upon interrogators, Yewande confessed to have threatened the maid with the hot knife but that the injury was not intentional.
She was also alleged to have threatened the victim not to inform anyone until her neighbours noticed and reported to the human right group.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident and subsequent arrest of the suspect.
He adding that on completion of investigation, the suspect would be taken to court.
