Sad! Channels TV Reporter, Precious Owolabi, Shot During Shiites, Police Clash Is Dead  

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving with Channels TV Precious Owolabi who was struck by a stray bullet while covering Monday’s confrontation between the police and Shiites in Abuja is dead
The sad news was broken this evening by the private television station.
Although exact details of how the late Youth Corps member were not provided, earlier reports had it that he was struck in the stomach by the bullet.
Incidentally, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Umar, who was in charge of Operations at the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, was also killed during Monday’s confrontation between the Shiites, who have been protesting the continued detention of their spiritual leader, Sheikh El-Zakzaky, by the Federal Government.
Umar was said to have been shot as he tried to pacify the rampaging Shiite members who disrupted commercial activities and vehicular movement during their protest at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, Monday.He was immediately taken to an undisclosed hospital where he passed on.
