Scores Injured As RTEAN/ NURTW Clashes In Igando Lagos

There was pandemonium early today (Wednesday) as hell was said to be set  loose when the relative peace in the Igando area of Lagos state was shattered, as some alleged street urchins loyal to National Union Of Road Transport Workers, NURTW and the Road Transport Employers Association Of Nigeria, RTEAN, Clashed and disrupted the peace in the Area.                      

It was gathered by that the clashes was as a result of supremacy war  between the two Unions, which was said to have disrupted Economic and social activities in the area, raged on until 1pm on Wednesday, November, 20th, 2019.                

It was said to have started as early as 7am, leading to panic and confusion as residents scampered into hiding.                  

Our Correspondent reports that one person identified as Lati Bashiru, was shot on his left arm, while scores sustained various degrees of injuries as the two contending Unions, deployed the use of gun, matches, bottles, charms, iron rods and other dangerous weapons, as they battle for the control of igando garages and parks.
